Welcome to the AWE (Augmented Wildlife Experiences) project, where nature and technology unite to support greater connectedness with nature. Nature connectedness improves wellbeing, health and nature-positive behaviours.

​​​​AWE is a collaboration between Bournemouth University scientists and students and local organisations, all passionate about making nature experiences accessible and attractive to everybody.

Our mission is to enhance the way people interact with and learn about wildlife by introducing digital innovations to inspire awe for the hidden or unnoticed beauty all around us and extending the time people spend in nature.

Each hub is supported by a webpage that unlocks a wealth of online multimedia content: wildlife videos and sounds, fun facts, unseen creatures, and educational information. Links to the hub pages can be found through links on the trail's map.
